Aquarela de Paris is the oldest samba group in France, with more than 30 years of history between Paris and Rio.
With its batucada Carioca, Aquarela de Paris animates, rhythms, makes people dance, fills the streets with the warmth and joy of the Rio carnival, and makes the walls tremble with its percussionists and dancers.
Strolling or standing in a square or on a stage, Aquarela plays regularly in France and in the most important samba festivals abroad.
Orange and blue, it’s Aquarela!
A fascinating mixture of formalization and spontaneity close to trance, the rhythmic dazzling that the drums masters of Burundi offer us.
Founded on March 8, 2019, the Maracatu Batuque das Águas Cultural Group is an initiative of the brothers Júlio Henrique and Anderson Barbosa. The main objective is to disseminate and disseminate the popular culture of Pernambuco.
Began in 2001 in Brussels
The group worked in Rio with masters from Vila Isabel, from Portela, also many internships among others with Monobloco, and it’s master Celsio, Mestre Odilon, Mestre Nilo de Portela, Denté Macedo, and many other Brazilian percussionists!
Under the direction of Elliot Amah, Zebatuca, it’s choreographed music, upside-down street art, distributors of happiness …
Through an explosive, PERCUSSIVE and exclusively female show, “LAY THIS DRUM!” questions the feminine/masculine “gender” in our modern society.
The Parisian batucada “O Maracujá” can only present itself in percussion and define itself only in contradiction. A bit samba-reggae, but not really Brazilian, quite dissipated, but seriously committed, absolutely multiple, but in unity, indefinitely under construction, but always ready to play, a little crazy, but feet firmly anchored, to the limit good taste, but never rocking … O Maracujá, finally, only knows one thing: Be herself.
Brass, swag, magnificent marcels, and an atmosphere of madness…
This fiery team forms a veritable wall of sound that you will remember.
